Working on Research

Beginning in 2023, Sobremesa Farm began researching various mitigation approaches to an onsite pond that would not hold water. This on-going project is currently focused on the development of fertile terraces to grow grains on. Since the local topography is hilly in Monroe County, this could prove to be a viable method for growing food in areas currently eroded or seen as not productive due to extreme sloping of the land.
